- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and ensure correct fit
- Confirm that materials and packaging components and consumables are available to meet food safety and production requirements
- Prepare the wrapping equipment and process for operation
- Operate and monitor the wrapping process
- Start, operate and monitor the process for variation in operating conditions
- Monitor packaging quality and seal integrity to confirm that specifications are met
- Identify, rectify and report out-of-specification equipment, product or process outcomes according to workplace requirements
- Follow and apply workplace cleaning and environmental procedures
- Shut down the wrapping process
